Hi there!
Thanks for taking the time to look at my site. Hopefully some of my pieces will intrigue you enough to where we can start a conversation. If not, no worries, and thank you for your time :)
As you're probably aware, I'm a graphic designer in Southern California and have been doing this for 20 years. My last name is a bit different, so here's how you pronounce it: Man - thee. Pretty easy!
I was born and raised in Minnesota, where it gets so cold, I once trick-or-treated in an actual blizzard! I also, unfortunately, became a fan of all the local sports teams.
When I got older, I worked in a grain elevator, dealing with lots of dust and the outdoor elements. Rain or snow, I was exposed. I was the youngest guy there by 20 years and my coworkers were miserable! Was this the life I wanted to live? Short answer = NO!
I was at a crossroads and fortunately I had relatives here in California and they extended the invite. I happily obliged and packed up what I could fit into my vehicle at the time, sold/gave away the rest and again, in a blizzard, drove to sunny California. It took me three days. Pro tip: If you are ever planning on doing something similar, bring a friend. It's EXTREMELY boring alone.
In California, I enrolled into Platt College and earned my degree in Graphic Arts with a 3.93 GPA. From there I have been able to work and learn from some very smart and talented people. With each opportunity, I have climbed the department ladder and have expanded my skill sets but I am not done. Each day I am trying to improve and learn new skills.
To my previous employers, coworkers, friends and family, thank you for your knowledge, guidance, and help that molded me into the person and designer that I am today!
